Bewitched, Bothered & Bewildered
(To the tune of "Bewitched, Bothered & Bewildered" from Pal Joey )

by Joe Boucher

After all the summer re-runs,
The Buffistas, they're awake.
Waiting all this time for new ones,
Was too much to take.

Now the wait is almost finished,
We've done pretty well I'd say,
But the tension won't diminish,
For another day.

We're wild again, beguiled again,
More simpering, whimpering -- smile, children!
Bewitched, bothered and bewildered are we.

The new season, true reason,
To jump up and down, Buffy's fifth season,
Bewitched, bothered and bewildered are we.

Author's Note: A lot of Larry Hart's lyrics seem to me that they could come out of the mouths of certain characters without any adjustment:

   BUFFY
Lost my heart, but what of it?
He is cold, I agree.
He can laugh, but I love it,
Although the laugh's on me.

   ANYA
He's a fool and don't I know it,
But a fool can have his charms.
I'm in love and don't I show it,
Like a babe in arms

   FAITH
I've sinned a lot, I'm mean a lot,
But I'm like sweet seventeen a lot,
Bewitched, bothered and bewildered am.

   ANGEL (in IWRY)
Vexed again, perplexed again,
Thank God, I can be oversexed again,
Bewitched, bothered and bewildered am I.

MANY TT'ers (even more when adjusted for gender and/or sexual orientation)
I'll sing to him, each spring to him,
And long for the day when I'll cling to him,
Bewitched, bothered and bewildered am I.

I'll sing to him, each spring to him,
And worship the trousers that cling to him,
Bewitched, bothered and bewildered am I.
