Fire & Pain
(To the tune of "Fire and Rain" by James Taylor)

by Victor Infante

Just yesterday morning I found out you were gone.
Tara, the plans they made put an end to you.
I walked out this morning and I absorbed some spells,
That I just don't care that I'm addicted to.

I've seen fire, and I've seen pain.
I've seen magic nights that I thought would never end.
I've seen evil times when Buff could not kill a friend,
But I always thought that I'd see you again...

Won't you look down on me Osiris,
You've got to help me make a stand.
You've just got to see me through another day.
My skin is cracking and my hair's gone all Goth,
And I can/t take vengeance any other way.

Oh, I've seen fire and I've seen pain,
I've seen Apocalypses that I thought would never end.
I've seen lonely times when Angelus killed a friend,
But I always thought that I'd see you again...

I've been walking my mind cross a moral line,
And hunting down the scum.
Lord knows when the dark wind blows,
I will flay his skin alive.
Well there's been hours of time with these friends of mine,
To talk about things to come.
Now Warren's schemes and his diabolic machines,
Will be ashes on the ground.

Oh, I've seen fire, and I've seen pain.
I've seen magic nights that I thought would never end.
I've seen evil times when Buff could not kill a friend,
But I always thought that I'd see you again...

Thought I'd see you, baby, one more time again.
There's just a few things coming my way this time around, now.
Thought I'd see you, thought I'd see you fire and pain, now.

"I've seen fire, and I've seen pain.

"Somebody better at filking needs to do this."
